Listen to or download, "Robert Darr on Afghanistan: A Voice for Representation"
Robert Darr, author of Spy of the Heart has been traveling to and from Afghanistan since the 1980s. He learned the languages, read the classical literature, worked with local leaders and refugees. His perspective is based on, as we say, "facts on the ground." But, the actual, human, day-to-day facts, not those sold by the mindset who brought Afghanistan the Duran Line. Nor the mindset that is trying to insert western-style democracy into a culture that has had a form of democracy for over a thousand years.
Hear why, unless the Afghan majority has a representative voice in the Afghan government, America and NATO will have a continuing negative presence there....
