Barbara Lubin grew up in an orthodox Jewish family who supported the State of Israel and the Irgun. She traveled to Israel as a teenager but only entered the West Bank and Occupied Territories as an adult. That trip convinced her to enjoin the fight for justice for the Palestinian people. Soon she discovered she was a pariah among her Jewish friends. She co-founded the Middle East Children's Alliance to support MECA's work. (http://www.mecaforpeace.org/)
