Meeting Resistance

Listen to or download, "Meeting Resistance"

An interview with film makers Molly Bingham and Steve Connors on their film "Meeting Resistance" that brings the voices of ordinary Iraqis who are determined to repulse what they experience as an invasion force occupying their country. Also, two voices from the film, one a former officer in the Iraqi Army, described in the film as The Warrior. The narrative from the film describes the Warrior as a special forces officer in his mid thirties. He refers to the end of 1991 Gulf when Iraq's Shia rose up and took over 14 of iraq's 18 provinces. The other is an ordinary Iraqi and family man.

Also, John Edwards endorses Barack Obama in an elegant speech with a respectful and collegial acknowledgement of Hilary Clinton. This is a good example of the sort of politics that it would be good to hear more often.
